Kadin and Gojek digitize the UMKM ecosystem in Solo Raya

Team Webmaster : The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and Gojek companies are digitizing the ecosystem of Micro, Small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Solo Raya area.

Chairman of the Surakarta City Chamber of Commerce Ferry Septha Indrianto at the Solo Raya UMKM ecosystem digitization event at Solo Technopark, Central Java, Tuesday said the organization was committed to developing the Solo and Solo Raya economies.

“We are committed and this is taken seriously by Gojek. With digitalization helps their business capacity to expand and expand market access,” he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy Mayor of Surakarta Teguh Prakosa said the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the advancement of technology today.

“If there is no COVID-19, it is not necessarily technology as advanced as now, but what is waiting for a disaster first, then we change our minds. We can’t look back anymore. About the progress of technology, inevitably, like it or not, you have to follow,” he said.

He said not to let people, especially those who are still productive age just sit at home while waiting for the arrival of social assistance.

“Time to go home just waiting for PKH and others. This is the wrong mindset, it’s not the time, ” he said.

He said including business actors must follow the progress of the Times. Related to that, Kadin and Gojek are trying to facilitate MSME actors to be able to keep up with the Times.

Gojek Regional Vice President for West Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta Farid Isnawan said MSMEs have become the DNA for the application-based company.

“Since its establishment in 2010 we have always supported, facilitated, and provided guidance to MSME actors,” he said.

His party is also committed to fighting for Indonesia by presenting various technological solutions to support the growth of MSMEs.

“This is in line with the struggle of the local government in Solo Raya and Kadin in supporting Indonesia’s economic independence,” he said.
